Michał Minor

Michał Minor is a Professor of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he teaches in the Department of Painting. He conducts a Workshop on Creative Thinking in Painting held Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:50-12:05 in room 307 at Raciborska Street 50.

Professor Minor's artistic practice centers on painting, drawing, and printmaking, with significant contributions to poster design. His creative methodology explores conceptual approaches to visual expression and the intersection of traditional techniques with contemporary concepts. The artist maintains an active international exhibition presence while developing pedagogical approaches that bridge technical mastery with innovative thinking in visual arts education.

His notable exhibitions include over 160 group shows across Germany, Bolivia, Finland, Sweden, Iran, Japan, China, Bulgaria, the USA, and Hong Kong between 2000-2016, plus 14 solo exhibitions at prestigious venues including GCK Katowice, Desi Berlin, BWA Rzeszów, and Ateneum Gallery in Katowice.
