Wilczewski holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), an MA in History from Michigan State University, and a BA in Sociology from La Salle University. He is the recipient of a 2013-2014 Fulbright IIE Student Research Grant. Prior to Northwestern, he taught at UIC and Loyola University Chicago while working as a program assistant for Polish Studies.
His current research projects include Broken Land (exploring rural interwar Poland’s state-building efforts) and Sex in the Time of Sanacja (examining interwar Poland’s evolving discourses around sexuality). He also leads pedagogical initiatives such as Polish-language teaching materials development with the University of Białystok and the Poland in Chicago Digital Mapping Project.
Wilczewski contributes to academic publishing as the book review editor for The Polish Review and Polish American Studies, focusing on history, social sciences, and diaspora studies.
