Michał Furmaniak is an Assistant Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, affiliated with the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia. He serves across multiple studios: the 3rd Sculpture Studio (under Prof. W. Sęczawa), the 2nd Drawing Studio (under Prof. Małgorzata Góra), and the Studio of Sculpture Techniques (under Dr. Marcin Plichta. He graduated from the same institution in 2016.
His artistic research focuses on:
- Figurative and portrait sculpture as primary thematic domains
- Experimental use of materials including stone, bronze, resins, and plaster
- Integration of traditional techniques with contemporary approaches
Furmaniak's works have been exhibited internationally, including:
