Michal Rabani

Dr. Michal Rabani is a researcher in the Department of Genetics at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her work focuses on understanding posttranscriptional regulation of mRNA molecules during embryonic development, particularly using the zebrafish model system. She employs a combination of computational and experimental approaches to study RNA stability, localization, and processing in the context of cellular differentiation and early embryogenesis.

Her research interests include decoding how maternal mRNAs contribute to developmental processes and investigating the genomic encoding of RNA regulatory mechanisms. Dr. Rabani has been recognized with the prestigious ERC Starting Grant (2019) for her project on RNA degradation regulation in early zebrafish development.

Her lab integrates high-throughput experimental techniques with computational analysis to uncover principles of RNA regulation applicable to broader biological systems, including implications for fertility and regenerative medicine.
