Michaela Pixova

Michaela Pixova is a human geographer and post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Development Research, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). Her work centers on socio-spatial themes, emphasizing social justice, environmental sustainability, and future-oriented change.

Her research explores post-socialist urban restructuring, governance, social movements, citizen participation, and alternative spatial practices. At BOKU, she collaborates with a team analyzing values-based production and consumption modes within the corporate food regime. Previously, she coordinated the Czech Climate Coalition, focusing on climate neutrality and equitable societal transformation.
