Michael Zhou

Dr. Michael Zhou is a Lecturer in Health Law and Professional Ethics at the College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University. He has also held Casual Academic roles in the College of Business, Government and Law and College of Nursing and Health Sciences since 2019.

Research Interests focus on the intersection of healthcare and law, including:

• Regulation of biomedical science
• Medical negligence and mandatory reporting
• Consent to treatment and end-of-life care
• Virtual reality applications in healthcare
• Health law and policy

His publications span medical law, virtual environments, and strategic marketing, with notable work on user innovation and medico-legal claims. He coordinates law and ethics teaching in Flinders' Doctor of Medicine program and supervises research on health law topics.
