Michael West, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Dallas. He teaches literature, writing, and Catholic Studies, and can be contacted at mwest@udallas.edu or via phone at (972) 721-5213. Office hours are held in Braniff Graduate Building #366 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

- B.A. in English from the University of Dallas
His research focuses on Early Modern English literature, particularly Shakespearean-era drama, literary enigmas, and intersections with Catholic Studies. He has published in journals such as Studies in English Literature, Shakespeare Studies, and Spenser Studies.
West previously taught at the University of Houston, Columbia University, and Sacred Heart University. His first book, Theater of the Obscure: Staging Enigma in Shakespeare’s England, is under review, and he is developing a second project titled How to Learne Experience: Literature and Experience in Early Modern England.
