Dr. Michael Ungar holds the Canada Research Chair in Child, Family and Community Resilience at Dalhousie University and directs the Resilience Research Centre. His work develops resilience frameworks applicable across clinical, community and organizational contexts.
Research examines multisystemic resilience processes in marginalized populations, with applied work informing interventions for NGOs including Red Cross and Save the Children. Recent publications establish theoretical foundations for understanding resilience as a negotiated process between individuals and their environments.
Authored 17 books including 'Multisystemic Resilience' and advised Fortune 500 companies (Unilever, DHL) on resilience-informed HR practices.
