Michael Tsang

Dr. Michael Tsang is a Lecturer in Japanese Studies at Birkbeck, University of London, with academic experience at Newcastle University, University of Warwick, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on East Asian literatures, postcolonial studies, world literature, and gender studies.

Key research trends include bibliomigrancy theory in 20th-century East Asian literary networks, gender politics in Japanese fiction, and Hong Kong's position in postcolonial frameworks. He co-founded the journal Hong Kong Studies and serves on editorial boards for Sanglap and Cha.
