Michael Sumption is a Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Ohio State University, serving as Undergraduate Studies Chair. He holds leadership roles as Associate Director of both the Center for Superconducting and Magnetic Materials and the Superconducting Technology Center. With expertise spanning superconductivity, magnetic materials, and cryogenic systems, his research bridges fundamental solid state physics and practical applications.
