Michael Strawbridge

Michael Strawbridge is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Washington University in St. Louis, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research examines American politics and quantitative methodology with a focus on racial and ethnic politics, particularly analyzing how social environments influence Black political behavior.

His scholarly contributions include two major book projects: In the Thick of It exploring Black political networks, and On the Rise (co-authored) investigating Black women's impact in the Congressional Black Caucus. His work has appeared in journals including Politics, Groups, and Identities and Politics & Gender.

Honors include:

He holds a PhD from Rutgers University and a BA from Beloit College.
