Michael Sommer

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Michael Sommer is a Professor of Pedology at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF), leading the 'Landscape Pedology' working group within Research Area 1 'Landscape Functioning'. His research focuses on soil landscape dynamics, biogeochemical cycling (particularly silicon and carbon), and the impacts of agricultural practices on soil health.
