Michael Slager is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Loyola University Chicago. He holds a PhD, MA, and BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with expertise in Russian/Central European literature, second language acquisition, translation studies, and linguistics. His research focuses on postcolonial theory, orientalism, and ideology's role in national identity formation.
