Michael Schulz

Michael Schulz is an Adjunct Professor II at the University of Oslo (UiO) and Deputy Head of the Climate Modelling and Air Pollution section at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. His research focuses on aerosol-climate interactions, Earth system modeling, and evaluating climate models through initiatives like CMIP6-AerChemMIP and AeroCom. He leads the development of the NorESM Earth system model and contributes to EU projects like Copernicus CAMS. Key interests include constraining aerosol forcing via measurements and models, advancing climate projections, and understanding near-term climate change impacts.
