Michael Schultz is a member of the Geoinformatics/GIS work group at the University of Tübingen's Department of Geosciences. His research focuses on integrating remote sensing, machine learning, and OpenStreetMap data to develop decision-support tools for environmental risk mitigation, particularly flood risk analysis through the FloodAdaptVN project.
Previously, he worked on volunteer geographic information (VGI) data fusion at Heidelberg University and completed his Ph.D. in remote time series analysis for forest monitoring at Wageningen University.
