Michael Ruane

Michael Ruane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Texas Lutheran University. He holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wyoming and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Arizona.

His research focuses on synthesizing anti-cancer compounds for drug-resistant cancers in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute, with over 26 compounds developed for testing. He also pioneers educational innovations, transitioning Organic Chemistry to an inverted classroom model.
