Michael Robinson

Dr. Michael D. Robinson is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University, where he has served for over 20 years. His research spans personality, emotion, social behavior, and self-regulation from interdisciplinary perspectives.

• Education: Ph.D. in Psychology (University of California, Davis, 1996), B.A. in Psychology (University of California, Santa Cruz, 1990)

Current research directions focus on personality and emotion dynamics, conceptual metaphor theory, and experimental methods in embodiment and assessment. His work has received funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Sanford Research.
