Michael Peichl

Michael Peichl is a Professor at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ and University of Potsdam. He leads the Department of Hydrosystem Modelling (CHS) since 2004 and serves as a W3 Professor of Mathematical Hydrology since 2016. His research focuses on modeling the impacts of extreme environmental conditions on society, integrating short-term projections and long-term climate change effects through damage functions, econometric methods, and machine learning.
