Professor Michael Patrick Keane is a faculty member at the UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales, specializing in Labor Economics, Health Economics, and Tax Policy. He holds a BS from MIT (1983) and a PhD in Economics from Brown University (1990). His research interests include empirical microeconomics, econometrics, consumer behavior, and marketing.
Keane has led numerous grants, including the Australian Research Council Discovery Grant (2021-2025) and the Australian Research Council Laureate Fellowship (2012-2020). His work spans topics like optimal tax theory, labor supply dynamics, and child development.
