Michael Patrick Cullinane

Michael Patrick Cullinane is a historian at the University of Roehampton, affiliated with the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. He has taught at University College Cork, the University of Leicester, and Northumbria University, joining Roehampton in 2017.

His research focuses on U.S. foreign policy in the early 20th century, Anglo-American relations, transatlantic studies, and the intersection of media, memory, and culture in historical contexts. He is currently exploring the formation of international law in the late 19th century through activist networks.

Recent publications include Theodore Roosevelt's Ghost and articles on topics like cultural diplomacy and Roosevelt's legacy. His work demonstrates a multidisciplinary approach, blending history with political science and media studies.
