Michael Page is a Reader in Medical Education at the Institute of Health Sciences Education, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He co-leads the MA in Education for Clinical Contexts and established the UK's first degree apprenticeship in Clinical Education. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Medical Education at UCL and Head of Education Programmes at the Royal College of Physicians, London.
His research spans medical education with core focuses on fitness to practise, healthcare regulation, professional identity formation, and curriculum development. He maintains a specialized emphasis on Specialty and Associate Specialist (SAS) doctors' career progression through qualitative exploration of structural constraints and agency in medical workplaces.
