Michael P. Popp holds the Harold F. Ohlendorf Professorship in Agricultural Economics at University of Arkansas. His research examines risk/return tradeoffs in alternative production systems, enterprise diversification, and environmental impacts including greenhouse gas emissions and water footprints.
With over 40 peer-reviewed publications, recent work analyzes switchgrass biomass optimization, soybean storage economics, and precision agriculture technologies. He develops decision support tools for producers, including soybean maturity modeling and tractor guidance systems.
