Mr. Michael Ooko is a PCTU/RSS Statistician at Queen Mary University of London's Wolfson Institute of Population Health. He holds a BSc in Applied Statistics from Maseno University (2007–2011) and an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) (2015–2016), funded by the Wellcome Trust. His career includes roles at the KEMRI Wellcome Trust Research Programme (2012–2016), Phastar Limited (2019–2020), and a Research Fellowship at LSHTM/The MRC Unit in The Gambia (2021–2024). His research focuses on clinical trial methodology, including cluster randomized trials, interrupted time series, and simulation studies, alongside infectious disease modeling with a malaria focus. He currently supports clinical trials at the PCTU and advises the NIHR Research Support Service Hub at Imperial College London & Partners.
