Dr. Michael Murphy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing Sciences at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. He joined the faculty in 2010 after earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Clemson University (2010) and a B.S. in Computer Science from Clemson University's Calhoun Honors College (2005, summa cum laude). His research focuses on digital privacy, digital forensics, anti-forensics, cyberinfrastructure, and computing science education. He also has expertise in distributed systems, sensor networks, and environmental geosensing applications.
