Michael Merritt

Michael Merritt is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry at New England College of Optometry and serves as an Attending Optometrist at Lynn Community Health Center. His expertise spans Pediatrics, Ocular Disease, Public Health, and Community Health, with a focus on Dry Eye Management and Autoimmune Disease. He completed a residency at Lynn Community Health Center following his Doctor of Optometry (OD) from New England College of Optometry.

Dr. Merritt holds the honor of Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He is professionally active, maintaining memberships with the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. His clinical practice is centered at the Lynn Community Health Center, emphasizing patient care in underserved communities while integrating research and education in optometric public health.
