Michael McCarty

Michael McCarty is an Associate Professor of History at Salisbury University. His research examines how individuals negotiate identities during war and defeat, with a focus on East Asian conflicts such as the Jōkyū War (1221), the Korean Unification Wars, and the Imjin War. His work challenges historical myths and explores sociocultural transformations in post-conflict societies.
