Michael Martin

Michael Martin is a Professor of New Testament at Lubbock Christian University (LCU), affiliated with the Department of Bible and the Graduate Bible program. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on New Testament books, Christian history, and theology. His research focuses on Mark, John, Paul, and Hebrews through text-critical, literary-critical, rhetorical, philological, and historical approaches. Current interests include the rhetorical design of early Christian hymns, prayers, stories, sermons, and poems.

Dr. Martin’s work bridges scholarly analysis and theological reflection, emphasizing the interplay between textual study and early Christian expression. Beyond academia, he enjoys recreational activities with his son, including gaming, sports, movies, swimming, and music.
