Michael Lyons serves as a Part-time Lecturer in CEAD (Centre for Continuing Education in Art and Design) at the National College of Art & Design's School of Education. With art education from Limerick College of Art and Design and the National College of Art & Design (B.A. Hons Fine Art, MFA), his multidisciplinary practice spans painting, woodblock printing, and 3D assemblage.
Lyons explores socio-spatial structures through narrative artworks, including the critically acclaimed artist book 'Ecce Heur' and print series responding to Théodore Géricault's 'Raft of the Medusa.' His architectural knowledge informs collaborative installations like the Bergen International Wood Festival project with Meitheal Adhmaid collective, recognized for sustainable material innovation.
