Michael Lemke

Michael Lemke is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the UTHealth School of Public Health, San Antonio campus. He is affiliated with the Southwest Center for Occupational & Environmental Health.

• PhD in Community Psychology from Wichita State University
• Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Texas A&M University (Clinical Assistant Professor)

Lemke’s research focuses on novel approaches to public health challenges through complex systems theory and computational modeling, with primary interests in:

• Occupational health and safety
• Maternal health disparities
• Firearm violence

His work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and data-driven policy solutions. As a former long-haul truck driver and American Trucking Associations intern, he brings practical industry experience to his academic research.
