Michael Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), affiliated with the Ying Wu College of Computing. Holding a PhD and MS in Information Science from the University of Washington, an MIMS from UC Berkeley, and a BS in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, he specializes in computing education, human-computer interaction, and immersive technologies for learning.
His research focuses on:
- Enhancing programming education through game-based learning
- Designing virtual/augmented reality interfaces for STEM concepts
- Developing adaptive educational technologies
- Promoting diversity in computing through mentorship programs
