Michael Keplinger

Michael Keplinger is an Instructor of Guitar at the School of Music, Texas Lutheran University, and teaches classical guitar at Our Lady of the Lake University and HOME Orchestra's guitar ensembles. He holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from The University of Texas Brownsville and a Master's in Guitar Performance from the University of Texas San Antonio. His expertise spans classical guitar, composition, and music performance.

His research interests include music composition for solo and ensemble guitar, with notable achievements including winning the 2019 Austin Classical Guitar Composition Competition and a 2020 commission for 'Forward.' He has performed and collaborated with renowned artists such as the Grammy-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, David Russell, and Berta Rojas.
