Michael Johnson is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program and Associate Chief of Dental Services at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His clinical expertise spans the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including reconstructive jaw surgery, dental implants, and trauma management. Dr. Johnson holds a DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and a BS in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds multiple certifications in advanced life support.
His research focuses on surgical patient safety, sleep apnea in anesthesia patients, and drug interactions with dental treatments.
