Dr. Michael J. Healy is a full professor of philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He previously served as Dean of the Faculty (1986–2000) and interim president of Ave Maria College (2002–2003). His specialties include philosophy of the person, ethics, existentialism, and philosophy of religion, with expertise in Kierkegaard, von Hildebrand, and John Paul II's philosophy. He holds a B.A. from Loyola University (1972), M.A. (1975), and Ph.D. (1978) from University of Dallas.
