Michael J. Birrer

Michael J. Birrer, M.D., Ph.D., is a faculty member at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the College of Medicine. He currently serves as Vice Chancellor of UAMS and Director of both the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and the Cancer Service Line. His roles include leading UAMS’s initiative to achieve National Cancer Institute designation and coordinating multidisciplinary teams of doctors, oncologists, surgeons, and researchers.
