Michael Hirsch

Michael Hirsch is a Professor of Sociology and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Huston-Tillotson University. His research spans diverse areas including drug use, program evaluation, gerontology, criminology, and the sociology of space exploration.

• Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Texas
• M.A. and B.A. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

His current research focuses on India-Pakistan reconciliation and the career trajectories of Russian cosmonauts. He serves on the advisory board for the Austin Police Department Training Academy.
