Michael High

Michael High serves as a Visiting Senior Fellow in the Research Directorate at the University of Suffolk and works as a Sustainability Analyst at Sizewell C, focusing on mitigating carbon and ecological impacts of energy infrastructure projects.

He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2023 under Prof Paul Fennell, researching copper-based oxygen carriers derived from hydrotalcite-like materials for chemical looping CO2 capture processes. His doctoral work included a parliamentary fellowship at the Welsh Parliament supporting climate policy scrutiny for the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee.
