Michael Halewood is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Essex. He joined in 2007 following his PhD and teaching at Goldsmiths College, University of London. His research focuses on the intersection of philosophy and social theory, with a particular emphasis on A.N. Whitehead and John Dewey. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Whitehead Publication Project and an International Academic Advisor for the Whitehead Research Project.
