Michael Groves

Dr. Michael Groves serves as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Shepherd University, within the College of Nursing, Education, and Health Sciences. He teaches across baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral nursing programs, emphasizing student-centered learning and interdisciplinary expertise. His roles include coordinating the RN-to-BSN program and serving on 16 university committees. Active in professional societies, he holds leadership positions in the International Society of Nursing in Genetics and the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities. Groves emphasizes teaching excellence, advocating for diverse student populations including veterans, working parents, and non-traditional learners.
