Michael Grisko is a Professor in the Department of Media and Communication Studies at the University of Erfurt's Faculty of Philosophy. His research spans cultural policy, biographical research, and film/media studies, with a focus on German history and digital humanities.
Research Interests: Grisko explores intersections of cultural policy, biographical theory, and media analysis. His work includes studies on DEFA feature films, ideology in literature, and digital transformation in cultural management. He also contributes to foundational theory and practice in cultural institutions.
Publications: Recent edited works include Biographical Miniatures (2022) and Cooperation and Cultural Policy (2021). His articles analyze topics like environmental themes in East German cinema and interpretive sovereignty in literary biographies.
