Michael Gilmore is a Research Fellow in the Department of Molecular Biology at Umeå University. His work focuses on bacterial cell wall biology, particularly peptidoglycan recycling and its implications for cell morphology, sporulation, and antibiotic resistance. He is affiliated with the Felipe Cava research group, where he contributes to studies on Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Caulobacter crescentus, and Bacillus subtilis.
