Michael Gallagher

Dr. Michael Gallagher is a faculty member at the School of Business at St. Bonaventure University, bringing extensive experience from trading capital markets in Europe and the United States. His academic journey includes a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University, an M.S. in Mathematics, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University.

His research focuses on the intersection of computer processes and finance, particularly virtual cloud platforms for big data analytics, which aligns with industry demands for cutting-edge skills. Publications include contributions to the Journal of Business and Accounting, IUP Journal of Computer Sciences, and a Springer Series book chapter.

He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University, building on an M.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University. Outside academia, he enjoys sailing on Long Island Sound with his wife Angela.
