Michael Florian is a Research Associate at the Steward Observatory, University of Arizona, since November 2020. He works with Professors George and Marcia Rieke, focusing on galaxy formation and evolution, interstellar medium conditions, and morphological characteristics of high-redshift galaxies. Previously, he studied small-scale substructures in galaxies at z~2 using gravitational lensing and the Hubble Space Telescope. As part of the JADES team, he is preparing to investigate high-redshift galaxies with the James Webb Space Telescope.
