Michael Flad

Prof. Michael Flad is a Professor in Finance & Entrepreneurship at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. He holds multiple leadership roles including Director of GründES! (Centre for Entrepreneurship), Deputy Director of the International Centre and Graduate School, and Academic Director for the International Industrial Management Master's program. He is affiliated with two campuses: Flandernstraße (Room F 02.123) and Kanalstraße (Room S 19.103).

His research interests focus on Entrepreneurship/Innovation Management and Quantitative Financial Management/Econometrics, integrating academic rigor with practical industry applications. He actively contributes to institutional governance as a member of the Equal Opportunities Committee and International Committee.

Consultation hours are Wednesdays 13:00–14:00 or by appointment via WebEx. He oversees academic programs starting Winter Semester 2025/2026.
