Michael Fine is an Honorary Professor at Macquarie University's Department of Sociology, School of Communication, Society and Culture. Previously, he served as Associate Professor and Head of Department (2008-2012). His research focuses on social policy, ageing, care systems, and human services, with over 30 years of academic and advisory experience. He leads the ARC Linkage project on the Australian Community Care Outcomes Measure (ACCOM) and serves as editor of the International Journal of Care and Caring.
