Michael Elwardany is an Assistant Professor in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at the FAMU-FSU Joint College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University (2017), an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire (2012), and a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Alexandria University (2008).

Research Interests: His work centers on advanced pavement materials, multiscale modeling of viscoelastic behavior, chemical and rheological analysis of asphalt, fracture mechanics, continuum damage mechanics, and machine learning applications in pavement engineering. He also investigates nondestructive evaluation methods and sustainable strategies for pavement design, preservation, and rehabilitation.
