Michael Elliott

Michael Elliott is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Victoria. He specializes in Voice, Text, and Dialect coaching, with a focus on Shakespearean and classical texts. As a renowned coach, he is the only North American to have served as a resident Voice & Text Coach with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has worked extensively at major Canadian festivals like Stratford and Shaw.

• Coached actors for Assassin’s Creed: Origins (2017) and Shakespearean productions globally
• Trained under Patsy Rodenburg and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s prestigious MA program
• Teaches courses in voice and speech for theatre, including THEA 223, 323/324, and 423/424
