Dr. Michael Deere is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Salem State University. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Oglethorpe University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Penn State University. Since 2007, he has taught courses including Introduction to Philosophy, Medical Ethics, and Social Ethics, while serving as Chairperson of the Philosophy Department since Fall 2013.
