Michael Dee is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Graphic Design within the School of Media: Culture: Design at Woodbury University. As an artist and educator with fifteen years of exhibition experience, he works across sculpture, installation, video, photography, drawing, painting, and curation.
His current project documents Southern California plant and animal life through photography at locations including The Butterfly Farm, Joshua Tree National Park, and Theodore Payne Foundation. This work explores wildlife conservation and environmental color through digital photography, giclée printing, acrylic painting, light boxes, and resin casting.
Dee is developing a solo art exhibition, creating an alternative art space, and producing a documentary film. He holds an MFA from Kent State University and B.A. in Art Education.
