Dr. Michael Daub is a postdoctoral researcher in the Hillebrecht Lab at the University of Freiburg since August 2022. Previously, he worked at the Cluster of Excellence livMatS @ FIT (Freiburg Center for Interactive Materials and Bioinspired Technologies) from September 2020 to June 2022. His research focuses on synthesizing and characterizing novel organic-inorganic halide perovskites and related materials, exploring their structural and optoelectronic properties for applications in energy harvesting, storage, X-ray detectors, and LEDs.
His work emphasizes structure-property relationships and developing synthesis routes to optimize these materials. He collaborates with Prof. Dr. Harald Hillebrecht as part of projects funded by the DFG under Germany's Excellence Strategy.
