Michael Daines is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Utah State University (USU), where he has taught for nearly 11 years. He holds an MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art (2009) and a bachelor’s from USU. His career spans industry roles as an art director and founder of a design agency, alongside teaching at institutions like Otis College of Art and Design. Recognized internationally, he was named one of The Design Kids’ Top 30 Design Educators in 2023 for his impactful teaching combining industry fundamentals and contemporary art practice.
